STRENGTHENING INVESTMENT COOPERATION WITH INVESTORS FROM THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AT THE DANGHARA FREE ECONOMIC ZONE

On 8 July 2026, the Head of the Danghara Free Economic Zone Administration, Sobirzoda Jamshed Abdusaid, held a working meeting with investors from the People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting, the parties held comprehensive discussions on expanding investment and economic cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment, introducing advanced technologies, establishing new manufacturing capacities, implementing priority industrial projects, and maximizing the investment potential of the Danghara Free Economic Zone.

The Head of the Administration emphasized that, under the constructive economic policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the continuous support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, a favorable legal and investment environment has been created to promote entrepreneurship, attract domestic and foreign investment, and ensure the sustainable development of the country’s Free Economic Zones. Investors benefit from government guarantees, competitive tax and customs incentives, and well-developed infrastructure.
The Chinese investors were presented with detailed information on the Zone’s investment opportunities, preferential incentives, strategic geographical location, existing infrastructure, and priority sectors for industrial development. The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of promising joint investment projects.
Both sides emphasized that the friendly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China provide a strong foundation for expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation, attracting new investments, promoting industrial development, and implementing major joint projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of a project to establish a manufacturing enterprise and transport service facilities within the Danghara Free Economic Zone and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening long-term investment cooperation, attracting new investments, and implementing future joint projects.
