NATIONAL UNITY IS A MEANS OF PEACE AND PROGRESS OF THE NATION

For the people of Tajikistan, national unity after the end of the Civil War has become not only the main pillar of the revival of the state and the strengthening of civil society, but has also become the highest political and spiritual value. Thanks to this unity, the culture of tolerance, mutual understanding, patriotism and independence was strengthened in society, the national statehood of the Tajiks was revived and conditions for sustainable development in all spheres of public life were created.

The sacred and fateful concepts of peace, unity and independence are closely linked, being a symbol of the existence of the state and the nation and the basic basis of the peaceful and peaceful life of the people. National unity is a product of state independence, increases national self-awareness and self-awareness, is considered as a sacred historical value and the main factor of all achievements of the independence period.

The more the historical gap widens since the signing of the general agreement on the establishment of peace and national accord, the more obvious and significant its historical, political and cultural significance for independent Tajikistan becomes. Indeed, National Unity Day, as the Day of the Victory of Reason over Violence, peace over War, friendship over Hostility, has opened a new bright page in the history of modern Tajik statehood.

The adoption of the peace agreement and its consistent implementation have become a real basis for ensuring national unity, raising a sense of patriotism and national identity. It is thanks to the unifying policy of the nation’s leader, the respected Emomali Rahmon, that the Tajik people have emerged from the maelstrom of war and entered a new stage — the stage of sustainable political, economic and spiritual development.

The historical achievements of the Leader of the nation in strengthening peace and unity, protecting independence and leading the country towards the development of a new statehood are unique and recognized by the world community as an outstanding example of peace-building. With such reasonable leadership, Tajikistan was able to turn into a safe, stable and progressive country in a short time.

Today, national unity is not only a great achievement, but also a guarantee of stability, the basis for the development of socio-economic spheres and the main pillar of the peaceful life of the people. Each of us is obliged to thank for this priceless gift of peace, unity and state independence, to make a worthy contribution to the improvement of the Motherland, strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and national unity.
